MX Access now combines claims and clinical data, creating an integrated list of medications, problems & diagnoses, and encounters. To see a patient’s claim data, please follow these steps:
1. Click on the Insurance tab. A list of your patient’s current and previous insurance(s) will be displayed. Included in this tab is the insurance name, type, group name, policy number, plan, coverage dates, and relationship to the insured.
2. Click on the Medications tab. A list of Recent Medications and Historical Medications will be displayed. If medications had been prescribed or filled within the last 90 days, they will appear under Recent Medications. Anything older than 90 days will be placed under Historical Medications.
Note: Some data that is sent through claims is not available. You will not see claims data populated in the Form/Dose, Sig/Instructions and Route columns.
a. By default, All Meds are displayed. However, you can choose to filter medications by Filled Meds (claims data) or Prescribed Meds (clinical data).
b. The Medications tab now includes an Expand button. Medications that have been prescribed or filled multiple times will now be grouped together, with the most recent event displaying in the default row. By clicking on the expand button, you can see previous prescriptions or filled events for that specific medication.
c. In order to keep repeat prescriptions and filled medications in one location, the entire group will either be placed under Recent or Historical. For example, if the default row was prescribed or filled within the past 90 days, the grouped medications will all be displayed in the Recent Medications table. If the default row was prescribed or filled over 90 days ago, the grouped medications will all be displayed in the Historical Medications table.
3. Click on the Problems & Diagnoses tab. By default, All Diagnoses are displayed. However, you can choose to filter diagnoses by Clinically-Sourced Diagnoses Only or Claims-Sourced Diagnoses Only.
4. Click on the Encounters tab. A list of Hospital & ED Encounters and Outpatient Encounters will be displayed. By default, All Encounters are displayed. However, you can choose to filter encounters by Clinically-Sourced Encounters Only or Claims-Sourced Encounters Only.
Note: Some data that is sent through claims is not available. You will not see claims data populated in the Discharge Date, Patient Class and Service Provided columns.
