What are the different user roles that can be assigned in MX Access?

Administrators are able to assign several different roles to their organization's users in MX Access.

 

Administrators can assign the following user roles:

 

Role/Permission

Abilities

Portal

Clinical User

Search and View Patient Records

Provider Portal

 

Front Desk

Search for patients, but not able to view records. Have Opt In abilities to assist with opting patients out/in of the MX HIE at the patient’s direction.

Provider Portal

 

Admin

Create & manage user accounts.

Provider Portal

 

Opt-in Manager

Has the same rights as the front desk person, but can also access patient records.

Provider Portal

 

Mimic User A technical support role that allows a user to mimic another user to verify permissions. Provider Portal

Note: A single user can play multiple roles.
